We think about 60,000 – 70,000 thoughts every day. 27% of them are negative or destructive thoughts.
Only 3% are of a positive nature!
(the remaining 70% are secondary thoughts).
It should be sufficiently known by now that permanent self-criticism has a considerable negative influence on our physical and mental health.
Therefore, I have made it a routine (during my end-of-work routine and just before going to bed) to ask myself what I did well today.
This reflection practice helps focus on the positive and see the good things in work and family life. It helps to strengthen self-confidence and most importantly, to practice self-love (self-love… phew, rare topic in the business world 😉 ).
Remember: In order to love others unconditionally, I must first love myself!
I invite you to do this exercise:
Every evening, write down (yes, it’s best to write it down!) 3 things you did well today. If it feels good, repeat this exercise and establish it into your evening routine.
Try it out and share your experiences
